Bright Ideas in Health 2013

kim inglisThe Bright Ideas in Health Awards saw a fantastic line-up of finalists competing for cash awards to help make their ideas a business reality. The competition is all about encouraging NHS staff in the North East come up with creative business ideas to improve the lives of NHS patients and staff, whether it’s a device, some kind of technology or improvements to service.

The event is organised by NHS Innovations North and judged by a multi disciplinary team drawn from their sponsors and the business community.

Check out their website here for more information.

Sarah Black, pictured with me, organises the event – but what you won’t know is she is an accomplished runner, fitting in her training round work and being a mum. She won the veteran’s women’s race in the Sunderland half marathon this year and was the 2nd placed woman overall! Go Sarah!
